Coravin Vinitas™ Quick Start Guide

Coravin Vinitas™ Quick Start Guide

Step One: Run a Clean Cycle

  1. Before each use and between varieties, clean the system and bottle adapters. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL OR SOAP. Only use the OneStep Cleaning Powder provided with the accessory kit.

Note: Failure to regularly clean the system can result in a buildup of deposits in the system from the mineral and sulfate content in wine.

Step Two: Attach the Source Bottle

  1. Open the bay doors but leave the cleaning bottles inserted.

  2. Disconnect the gas line of the Bottle Adapter to release the pressure (the thinner hose).

  3. Remove the Bottle Adapter from the Cleaning Bottles and insert it into the wine bottle. Reconnect the gas line.

Step Four: Begin Fractionalization Cycle

  1. Open the bay doors and remove the cleaning bottles.

  2. Insert capped Sample Bottles and close the bay doors to automatically begin the cycle.

  3. When finished, run a final ‘Clean’ cycle.

Step Three: Run a Purge Cycle

  1. Prime the lines with wine or spirits by pressing the ‘Purge’ button. The cycle will automatically start once all four bays are closed.

  2. Using a single bottle adapter (standard): After 3 ‘clicks’ or 3 seconds, press ‘Stop’ and then ‘Reset.’

  3. Using a multi-bottle adapter: Allow the full cycle to run until complete.

Step Five: Switching Between Source Bottles:

  1. Disconnect the gas line of the Bottle Adapter to release the pressure (the thinner hose).

  2. If the system has partially filled Sample Bottles and went into ‘Pause’ mode (blinking ‘working’ lights), connect a new source bottle before pressing ‘Reset’ to resume pouring function.

  3. If switching to a new wine run a ‘purge’ cycle to prime the lines with the new wine. If you are using sediment-heavy wines, a clean cycle is recommended.

NOTE: If any bay is showing an error, press ‘Reset’ to return the bay to its home position. If error persists, wait until the bottle is finished pouring and then turn machine off and then back on.
